A prayer for business success is all about coming at it with the right heart. A heart submitted and surrendered to God with total humility and reverence before almighty God. It’s important to seek God’s will and not our own self ambition when we pray to God about business and success. God’s word tell us in James 4:3 “you do not have because you do not ask. 3 You ask and do not receive, because you ask amiss, that you may spend it on your pleasures” so it’s important that we ask but with the right heart.
Our heart can be deceiving and desiring things of the world that are not in God’s great plan for us so when we ask we want to ask that God’s will be done. This is why when Jesus taught us how to pray in Matthew 6 it includes us saying, “thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven.”
Aside from praying the Lord’s prayer as Jesus taught us to pray in Matthew 6 here’s a prayer for business success that you can follow and apply to your life when it comes to praying for business or any other area of your life.
Declare: Declare the truth’s and promises of God and the greatness of God’s character
Give thanks: Thank God for all you have been trusted with and all your blessings including the breath in your lungs.
Confess: Confess to God anywhere you are sinning and repent of the sin.
Request: Make your requests be known to God and ask for His will be to be done.
Turn it over: Give the outcome over to God and trust the process.
I pray that when you go to pray for business success you will always seek God’s will and timing not your own, always making your requests be made known to God and trusting Him!
Scriptures shared in this episode include:
Matthew 6:8-14 “Therefore do not be like them. For your Father knows the things you have need of before you ask Him. 9 In this manner, therefore, pray: Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. 10 Your kingdom come. Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven. 11 Give us this day our daily bread. 12 And forgive us our debts, As we forgive our debtors. 13 And do not lead us into temptation, But deliver us from the evil one. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen 14 “For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. 15 But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
